The City of Angels experienced widespread celebrations after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Fans worldwide united with Angelenos in jubilation, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area events included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Social media videos depict countless of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many displaying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the masses, raising the championship trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” the star player stated through an translator.
The parade route ended at the stadium, where the team emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard providing music and the artist driving a Pacific blue classic car around the field.
