Admittedly, it's Packed with Absurdity, Extreme Hosting and Psychobabble. Yet I Truly Love Meghan's Christmas Special.

No considering the season, it's perpetually open season for commentary on the Meghan Markle's TV show, With Love, Meghan. Reviewers, expert and amateur alike, have rarely been so united as when gleefully ripping the series' first and second seasons to pieces. The general consensus was that a bigger monarchy-related faux pas had hardly ever taken place than the much-discussed snack re-labeling incident.

Now, in the spirit of a holiday maverick, she makes a comeback with a new offering with a "Holiday Celebration" (or a yuletide episode). But this time, it's different. The standard components audiences anticipate – psychobabble word salads, overzealous entertaining – remain, but set of a holiday show, the purpose becomes clear. The puzzle has come together; it's a flawless festive blizzard.

By this point, Meghan has become the quirky relative at the typical holiday get-together – offering unsolicited, unnecessary advice, and contributing the odd random outburst. ("I love spinach!" … "A tradition has to have a beginning." … "A tree is part of my memory and love of the holiday season.") She's quite a personality, but her aura is known and unexpectedly soothing. And she looks content; she's inflicting any harm.

She knows her each tiny facial movement, utterance and glance will be dissected and judged, but manages to seem unburdened and remarkably at ease.

Maybe this is the only time in history where that old chestnut – "Pay no mind, it's only envy" – might be true. Since, let's face it, each element in Meghan's Holiday Celebration is charming. Admittedly, it's all awkwardly over-the-top, foolishness and over the top – but isn't that exactly what Christmas is all about? And the advice she gives might be ridiculous, but the walk she's walking appears to be impeccably styled.

Whatever she turns her beautifully manicured, diamond-adorned hand to, she pulls off with style. Her recipes looks tasty, the festive decoration she crafts is stunning, her presents are nearly too beautiful to unwrap. Not a single thing is mediocre or aesthetically displeasing – including the way she ties her kitchen garment is stylish and elegant. She doesn't toss a dish in the oven, it "goes for a spin", and she folds wrapping paper like an origami guru. She also seems to be completely savoring herself the entire time. How could any cynical observer not be charmed, filled with festive joy and left with a deep longing for crafted festive snaps or a vegetable display where greens is positioned in the form of a wreath?

Meghan used to pretend for a living, naturally, but despite that, after the degree of attention she has faced from the moment she met Prince Harry, even a hypothetical offspring of acting royalty would have difficulty behaving this naturally. Her unwillingness to alter or even soften her routine, even though it being so relentlessly, internationally ridiculed, is strangely reassuring. In our volatile world, here is one thing we can rely on: Meghan will remain herself, come what may. We will forever know what to expect with her.

If you're remaining skeptical of her brand, a reminder that will certainly come as a reassurance: you are not obligated to. The UK has abolished national service these days, and should it be reinstated, it would be improbable to include watching With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration. If, however, you choose to watch and are gripped with longing about her idyllic Christmas, you can take solace either. If you are a royal or a everyday person, few children completely grasps the time and energy their mum puts in in the holiday season. So you can find comfort by picturing her children's faces when they open a handwritten message that says, 'I love you because you are brave,' from a DIY festive calendar, rather than a sweet treat.
