In a unexpected crossover event that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "An unusual confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome changes echo through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden sect.
The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Material
Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to numerous objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
